Well thought I would make my debut here for tonight’s Monday night game between the Bucs and the Colts. I like to look at everything out there from numbers, trends, angles, to opinion in informed boards like this one and consensus and yes-even pay services.

Anyway before the masses boo me I am going to examine tonight’s contest. I believe that the way the week goes is a hint to way the week will end for example if dogs have a big week I lean to the dog on Monday night so here goes. This week was dubbed reunion week by the media and it turned out to be a sad state of affairs. Emmit went back to Dallas and his team was crushed and while he did nothing to help them win. The mooch went back to San Francisco and put up a good fight and even covered the spread, while another coach Holmgren went back to Green Bay and got stomped on so if you follow this or put anything into it |Dungy should be on the losing end of things tonight.

If you side against Dungy however keep in mind you will also be on the consensus as at last check more people were on TB than there was on the Colts but it was closer than I expected as at last check I see a 56to 44% edge.

Back to this weekend’s game. Trend would also stick to the home team in this one. Home teams this week came out at 10-3 SU and have all played very well with the three losses by the Giants, Atlanta, and Pittsburgh on Monday night which brings to the ATS numbers which were not as good as I have that at 5-8, so if you wanted to follow that trend alone you would pick the Bucs to win the game but not cover, but of course there is more. I like to look at the game as a whole and this includes first half plays.

The numbers I have seen for the first half have the public money falling in on the colts and the under which seems a bit contradicting as far as I am concerned. Home teams were leading in 7 of the 13 games at the half for Sunday.

Okay but let me get off those numbers of trendy stuff because it is not solid and just something to look at to see if I could pick out anything.

The colts were not caught looking ahead to this game as they stomped on the Saints and technically have a short week compared to the Bucs who had a bye week (Gruden has never lost after a bye) The Colts revamped defense has caught my eye as they try to get turnovers and Freeny plays at a rapid pace and hassles the QB. The cover two gives up the run and that will mean Pitman will get a chance to put together something solid in tonight’s game and he will as he has impressed so far in the young season.

Okay decision time so here goes my whack at it. The colts can score and so can the Buc’s throw in Monday night’s fever pitch and turnovers this game could be high scoring but I am not as sold on it for the game but will take it in the first half.

Colts/Bucs Over 19 +100

Also on the side for the first half I am going to take the Bucs I think they have the edge on the ground and it could open up passing routes and will be rested and ready to go for the first half.

Bucs –3

Now on to the game, the bucs will come out strong and get the lead but the Colts have the weapons to keep it close and a FG will decide this game.

Colts +4.5

No play on the total but I will like to make a second half play of course

Found some more stuff:

We're playing a championship team, at their place. It's a big game."

The Bucs, for so long the punch line of jokes, established themselves in January as the NFL's latest standard of excellence. They demolished the Oakland Raiders 48-21 in Super Bowl XXXVII.

To take their next step, the Colts need to prove they measure up to the best.

"That's a good term: measuring stick," tight end Marcus Pollard agreed. "They're a championship team. They've been there and have pretty much the same team back. To get a win against a team like that would show a lot about what kind of team we can be."

And, oh yes, there are all of those intriguing subplots.

"Tony was there, it's his birthday, there are a lot of coaches going back," Pollard said. "This win, if we get it, would be special for a lot of reasons."

As if what promises to be an emotional reunion for Dungy and the legions who still hold him in such high regard isn't enough of a story line, there's a bit of Super Bowl-related history to pique viewers' interest:

• The Colts have won three of their past four meetings with defending Super Bowl champions.

• From 1999-2001, the defending Super Bowl champions -- Denver, St. Louis, Baltimore -- all lost to Dungy-coached teams in Tampa.

If nothing else, he knows what it takes to KO the champ.

"You give people respect for what they did the previous year," Dungy said. "You know they're a good football team. But last year is last year."

And this year is evolving into something special for the Colts.

Sepphoris,

I like the colts in the game but more importantly looking at first half to go over as well as TB to come out early, I think this has back foor written all over it for the colts. Defenses will make turnovers tonight and big plays will help with the scoring.

i think you did a excellent job in your analysis of the game. when i saw everyone (the Pro assholes) giving out TB i took colts for 2 dimes, i left the casino at half time and went home to play halo with a couple of bud's. i offered my ticket for $500, no takers, now i know how the skins people felt when they won, I was on phil -4. there is a god of football out their somewhere, and that is why they play the game, goo job examiner
